| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The Project main aims are to analyze conflicts between fishery and ecosystem components and propose adequate measures to solve it. Since any MPA normally has a managing body, solution is identified in an innovative approach, i.e. the involvement of the key actors in the planning (of conservation measures and fishery regulation) process and the enhancement of any potential socio-economic benefit coming from a sustainable governance of fishery (Blue Economy). It is expected that the Greek partner will gather and synthesize the available information on artisanal fisheries within and around Greek Μarine Πrotected Αreas and in particular in the Management Body of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos (N.M.P.Z.). It is expected from the French partner to synthesize the data collected in Greece and elsewhere in the Mediterranean to propose adequate measures to solve existing conflicts between fishery and ecosystem components. These measures will be applied in the different MPAs of the Mediterranean included in the Project among which is included the N.M.P.Z. |
