| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The present proposal is a training program aimed at elementary and secondary education students. The main objective is the participants to acquire programming skills in a playful way.
The programming tool that will be used to achieve the above purpose is Kodu, developed by Microsoft Research Labs. It is a programming environment, designed for young developers. The programming model that implements is a simplified one, yet has considerable expressive power, supporting basic concepts of programming through the development of games in 3D environments. At the same time, it maintain a high level of interest among students. Kodu is described as a powerful educational tool with a playful features that will introduce students to the fundamental knowledge of programming (variables, conditions, loops, logical operators), in a simple and understandable way.
The training program will be implemented in repetitive cycles, lasting 30 hours each, depending on the number of participants.The programs funding will come solely from participation fees and the total duration will be two months.
