Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | Developing methods to manipulate matter and to assemble structures on the nanometer scale is of great interest in many technological applications. Doing that in the gas phase, i.e., generating aerosol nanoparticles, offers many advantages (e.g., high control nanoparticle size, morphology and composition) over the traditional liquid-based techniques. Here we propose the development of a spark discharge aerosol generator for producing nanoparticles of well-defined size and composition, and its application for diagnosing high-speed gas flows and for fabricating nanomaterials for gas sensing applications |
