| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The postgraduate course leads to the MSc in Ecological Engineering and Climatic Change. The aim of the course is to train young scientists and engineers in the field of Ecological Engineering and Climatic Change, a rather complex field encompassing the natural environment, the utilisation of resources, the pollution of earth, water and air, the production of energy from conventional and renewable sources, the transport and the risk associated with human activities and life. The program focuses on the study and enhancement of knowledge of the biological, ecological and physico-chemical processes in the environment and their applied implementation as manifested in Ecological Engineering. The students acquire practical skills and knowledge in the physical and human parameters of the environment, the management of resources and sustainability and are trained on the modelling of natural and technological processes and the development of theoretical tools for analysis and forecasting. Ecological and environmental systems are analysed and studied in their interaction on the ecological, economic and social dimensions of sustainability and the issue of climatic change is addressed both at a local and a global scale. |
