| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The Europe Direct information network spans the whole EU and includes offices focusing on communication, providing resources and putting event organizers in touch with speakers. Provide general EU information (awareness-raising events, websites, publications, engagement with local media) and handle public enquiries in person or by phone/e-mail. The Region of North Aegean, due to the specificity of the area geography a challenge for management, but through the long, successful experience of the University of the Aegean islands of the North Aegean, Lesvos, Limnos, Chios, Samos, Agios Efstratios, Psara makes it possible and easier to support the work of the European Information Centre Europe Direct. The objectives of the Centre 2017 will be: 1. Updating and informing the general public but also the entire administrative machinery ( cooperatives, prefectures, etc.) of the North Aegean on current affairs of the European Union through the development of all instruments available, either in person or online, electronic, by reference
to other EU agencies to inform the public and open discussion meeting. 2. Updating and informing about these topics together special groups, such as young people, students, the unemployed, women, etc. 3. Preparing publications in the local press about new concerning the EU and raise awareness through participation in news reports on television and radio 4. Creating virtual and real centre with specialized documentation related to the above actions 5. Diffusing special information for young people and students about the opportunities for participation in Community programs, primarily through actions to continue their studies and for their integration into the labor market. 6. Establishing and also operating in the same universities, with our rich and long experience, actions of both the European Jean Monnet Chair at the University of the Aegean and the European Documentation Centre in this case, the Centre will try to focus on his work both in specialized study and interdisciplinary approach to the phenomenon of European integration and
the promotion of dialogue and reflection on scientific and simplified basis.
