Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The scope of the project is the evaluation of marine geophysical data, in-situ marine geotechnical and laboratory geotechnical measurements from vibro-core sediments, for the safe laying and burial of submarine power cables between Ag. Georgios-Lavrio and Tinos-Mykonos-Syros-Paros-Naxos in Cyclades.
The geophysical study will provide evidence of the seabed morphology and the surficial and subbottom structures (landslides, gas-charged sediments, active faults, anomalous relief, channels and canyons, current-induced bedforms etc), as well as of potential man-made hazards (fishing activity, ship anchoring, dumping sites, wrecks etc).
The burial feasibility will result from the study of the geophysical data in combination with in-situ CPT (cone penetration test) measurements and the collection of vibro cores and their sedimentological / geotechnical analysis. The aforementioned data will be mapped and presented in geo-morphological charts and relevant geotechnical seabed profiles. |
