| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The objectives of this project are to :
A. develop a specialized course dedicated to the teaching of the European approach on human rights, as it is visible from the side of the European legal order, but also the concept of the European citizenship
b fill an important gap in the curriculum of the Faculty of Social Sciences, where the issues of the human rights protection are clearly marginalized
c . allow, in addition, to the students, and to all legal professions carried out in our region (lawyers, judges) to gain access to this lifelong learning programme, which contributes to the renewal of expertise on the management of human rights protection by the European legal order
d create a stable regime of training , contributing , therefore , to strengthen the education and training role to the widest part of the local society. Opening a professional body means that one of our main goals is to work with the most dynamic groups of local civil society ( North Aegean region )
f explain the relationship between respect for human rights and European citizenship at European level ( the European institutional framework : European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms , the European Charter of Fundamental Rights)
The project is carrying :
a. Initiation of a significant number of students in the priorities of European integration , which include respect the human rights respect and the emergence of an effective and dynamic European citizenship
b. creation of an active European citizenship, which is the total of the new guidelines proposed by the Lisbon Treaty
c. reinforcement of the role of university education and training in order to create a sense of citizenship based on understanding and respect for human rights and democratic values and
d. understanding of the new goals and the institutional and political framework of the participatory democracy that appeared in the text of the Lisbon Treaty.
