| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The University of the Aegean, in the framework of the project Hellenic Integrated Marine and Inland Water Observing, Forecasting and Offshore Technology System, has undertaken the repair, upgrade and support of the continuous operation of the Observatory of Surface Waves and Currents DARDANOS at eastern Lemnos. Within the project, the Department of Marine Sciences will proceed to purchase the equipment necessary for upgrading the DARDANOS system so that it can record waves in addition to currents, will improve the currently used algorithms so that they will be applicable in shallow waters, will assess the data quality through local field experiments as well as undertake the maintenance procedures of the systems two components on Lemnos island. |
