| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The scope of the project is the assessment of the marine geohazards as well as of the man-made hazards for the laying of a submarine power cable between Lavrio and Syros island. The geohazards evaluation comprises the study of the seabed morphology and the surficial and subbottom structures (landslides, gas-charged sediments, active faults, anomalous relief, channels and canyons, current-induced bedforms etc) from the interpretation of marine geophysical data. Man-made hazards (fishing activity, ship anchoring, dumping sites, wrecks etc) will be also evaluated. The aforementioned data will be mapped and presented in geo-morphological charts. |
