| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The project PolliClim will examine basic ecological mechanisms, namely the ecosystem service pollination, and how this service might be affected by external factors, climate change in particular. Therefore, the outcome is expected to be highly relevant for farmers, managers and policy makers.
The project has a global perspective as the proposed methodological approaches will be developed in collaboration with international leading experts from Greece, Norway, Australia and Argentina, tested and compared in several biogeographic regions.
In particular we will identify important pollinators of selected entomophilous crop species and assess their temperature sensitivity to better understand how future climate change might affect food production from entomophilous crops.
