| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The research project for the General Secretariat for the Aegean and Insular Policy has the following objectives:
1) Documenting existing transport /ferry movement (passengers, vehicles, cargo) from and to the islands,
2) Formulating a methods for the calculation of a Standardized Island Transport Equivalent based on a mile cost, transport needs and island geography,
3) Calculating the cost of implementing the Equivalent for six categories of islands,
4) Formulating alternative scenarios for the implementation of the Equivalent principle and
5) Laying down extra parameters that will have to be calculated or estimated for implementing the Equivalent principle under each scenario. |
