| Περιγραφή Προγράμματος: | The aim of this research project is to create a population density grid for Greece at a finer scale than the one that is available by Eurostat. Contemporary methods of spatial analysis(statistics) will be used, together with census data and other auxiliary variables (such as land use data) that determine the distribution of population.
This dataset is a prerequisite to a plethora of geographical applications such as the estimation of vulnerable population to flooding, epidemiological studies etc. It should be noted that there is not any such dataset for Greece at this scale and accuracy standards. |
